O SON OF MAN
Deny not My servant should he ask anything from thee for his face is My face; be then abashed before Me.

Hidden Words, From the Arabic #30

Daily “after” dawn devotionals - where we reflect on a passage from the Hidden Words each morning before prayers. #loving the Hamilton Baha’i Community

Those who have ascended have different attributes from those who are still on earth, yet there is no real separation. In prayer there is a mingling of station, a mingling of condition. Pray for them as they pray for you!
'Abdu'l-Baha (Baha'i Writings)
O Thou Pure and Omnipotent God! O Thou my kind Lord! Grant me such power as to enable me to withstand the onslaught of the peoples and kindreds of the world, and give me such might as to cause the waves of my endeavours, like unto the Pacific Ocean, to reach the shores of both East and West.
'Abdu'l-Baha (Baha'i Prayers)

I know I post a lot of videos but this one was too incredible to miss.

My God, Whom I worship and adore! I bear witness unto Thy unity and Thy oneness, and acknowledge Thy gifts, both in the past and in the present. Thou art the All-Bountiful, the overflowing showers of Whose mercy have rained down upon high and low alike, and the splendors of Whose grace have been shed over both the obedient and the rebellious.
Baha’u’llah (Baha’i Writings)
Pray that the ill-natured become good-natured and the weak become strong.
Abdu’l-Bahá (via bahaifaithquotes)
Thou seest, O my Lord, this wretched creature knocking at the door of Thy grace, and this evanescent soul seeking the river of everlasting life from the hands of Thy bounty. Thine is the command of all things, O Thou Who art the Lord of all names; and mine is resignation and willing submission to Thy Will, O Creator of the heavens.
Baha’u’llah (from the Long Obligatory Prayer)

I beg Thee to forgive me, O my Lord, for every mention but the mention of Thee, and for every praise but the praise of Thee, and for every delight but delight in Thy nearness, and for every pleasure but the pleasure of communion with Thee, and for every joy but the joy of Thy love and of Thy good-pleasure, and for all things pertaining unto me which bear no relationship unto Thee, O Thou Who art the Lord of lords, He Who provideth the means and unlocketh the doors.
the Bab (Baha’i Prayers)

Former gang members and drug addicts pray with nuns from a Catholic shelter in a low-income neighbourhood in Monterrey. In just four years, Monterrey, a manufacturing city of 4 million people has gone from being a model for developing economies to a symbol of Mexico’s drug war chaos, sucked down into a dark spiral of gangland killings, violent crime and growing lawlessness
